Position Summary : The Manager is responsible for driving growth of the Digital Science Informatics business in South Korea. The position will be responsible for the quality of implementation and support through continuous improvement to ensure consistent customer service. This position will report into the Director, Asia Pacific (APAC) Service and Support.
The Manager will define and implement a standardized, scalable implementation and support model for the South Korean organization to realize superior customer service and service revenue growth to meet and exceed the APAC Annual Operating Plan (AOP). This role will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to develop a strategic approach to meet business objectives to support market growth.
Responsibilities: - Establish strategic and operational plans, budgets and programs consistent with the overall Digital Science Business Unit(DSBU) APAC strategy in order to achieve goals outlined in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Plan (STRAP). - Extensive understanding of business growth models and the ability to foresee commercial opportunities. - Work closely with Product Management and Marketing to identify solutions to drive growth in the Informatics market. - Reports on KPI¡¯s including bookings, revenue, resource utilization and cost. - Works closely with Digital Science leadership to assure proper utilization of resources and attainment of revenue goals. - Development resource plans that incorporate local and global partner to meet customer project and schedules. - Work closely with Local and Regional Sales leadership in the definition, implementation, and maintenance of an effective interface between Implementation and Sales functions. - Work closely with Sales to scope, define, and document services opportunities in Statements of Work (SOW). - Provide Sales assistance with sale responses and onsite presentations. - Build an environment which can attract and retain good talent through initiatives around career development, cross training, shared learning, mentorship, and best practices.
Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor¡¯s degree in business or business-related field required. Master¡¯s degree in related field advantageous. - Experience with managing software delivery service organization including Project and Program management - Business Management - Strong experience developing and growing Services function for laboratory informatics or software application - Experience in team expansion (internal and partners); support presales activities and resulting delivery needs. - Strong level of business communication - Business level fluency, spoken and written in both Korean and English - Demonstrate solid collaboration skills when working with internal and external client - Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred (Nice to have): - Familiarity with life sciences, QA/QC, R&D, and Bioanalytical in both (MFDS/FDA) regulated and non-regulated environments or similar industries. - Strong familiarity with PPI or similar business/process systems to drive best practices. - Experience in working in a global and matrix organization with a decentralized model. - Experience in leading teams of managers and individual contributors, with a track records of attracting and developing talent, developing bench strengths and managing a complex, diverse and dispersed workforce
