Principal Responsibilities
(National) Sales Manager has a direct responsibility to plan, execute and manage sales across Gastroenterology and OR specialties within Korea Business. He/She will directly report to Country Manager and build up competent sales force in the short-to-long term in order to develop and manage long-term sustainable, profitable, growing sales structure. For that purpose, he/she should be able to develop and manage effective sales strategy including development of multiple distributors or distribution channels and effective management of vertical and horizontal network complexity. Also he/she should be able to identify growth sources, estimate sales and profit potential, and plan sales budget, execute it within allocation, and deliver results.
His/her short-term business responsibility will be focused on Gastroenterology(80%) and other specialties such as OR1 (20%).
For successful sales planning, execution, and management, he/she should be able to
¨ª establish and maintain good relationship with local distributors, key hospitals, KOLs, and champion doctors in each specialties.
¨ª Support sales team of local distributors and determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
¨ª support pre & post sales activities by providing training and guidance to users and distributors on the correct methodology with various products
¨ª jointly with Product Marketing team, develop sales tools to help distributors and sales force to become more effective and competent in sales activities and to meet local market requirements
¨ª coordinate closely with Product Marketing team to organize and execute effective marketing activities such as workshops, exhibitions, congress, etc
¨ª gather and evaluate market feedback and satisfaction on product features & benefits, marketing & sales activities, and technical service and collect market information focused on competitors
¨ª report all knowledge and information regarding sales activities, customers gained and lost, competitive activities, results of marketing programs, etc to regional office and assist planning regional support.
Basic Requirements
¨ª More than 10 years of professional experience in medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industries, preferably in endoscopy business in the relevant specialties, in marketing and/or sales department, with Bachelor¡¯s Degree or higher
¨ª Good understanding of open and/or endoscopic surgery and in-depth knowledge of human anatomy
¨ª Good reporting skills including proficiency in using important software such as MS Office, Power Point, and Excel
¨ª Independent, self-driven, with analytical and strategic mind, aptitude for problem-solving, flexible and willing to try new ideas
¨ª Result-oriented, goal-minded, able to work independently and within a team environment, and able to travel extensively
¨ª Competent understanding of written English with basic verbal communication ability
¨ª Excellent Korean and English communication and interpersonal skills
